As wierd is this may seem. It's true...
The other day I noticed my girl friend looked a little stressed out. Her face was a lighter color than normal, her hair was a little different and she was a little distant. The old Brian would have started questioning her, attempt to fix things and give all these solutions. The new Brian just loved her. I learned a while back that just being present and showing her love is the best way to make her feel better rather than attempt to be mister male fix it.
Later that day I sat down next to her and gave her hugs and kisses. I started to tell her what an amazing woman she is and how she is this and that. The real power is I started to call her names. I told her she was a princess and how pretty she is.
As I looked at her, I noticed her face gaining color. I watched her face start to glow as she started to smile and she began to become more vibrant and back to her glowing self.
Here’s the key of what I did. The fact that I was loving and not attempting to fix her and correct her (the old Brian male way) helped but I need to teach you the reason behind that, which is another subject. The power is that I was giving her a title.
I was calling her a princess which painted a picture of beauty and elegance unconcousioly in her mind. It was the power of a title that I gave her. This is the same leverage that famous people do to give themselves power outside of themselves to achieve greater things.
It’s the power of title. Many greats give themselves titles which give them extra confidence and strength to push forward and excel.
Here’s proof.
UFC fighter – Tito Ortiz “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy”
BJ PENN “The Prodigy”
Boxers - Evander “Real Deal” Hollyfield
Roberto “Hands Of Steal” Duran
Mike “Iron” Tyson
Famous People
Micheal “King of Pop” Jackson
Elvis “The King” Presley
Marilyn Monroe’s real name is Norma Jeane Baker
Athletes
Willie Mays “The Say Hey Kid”
Pete Maravich “Pistol”
Karl Malone “The Mailman”
I could go all day with nick names and other names people give themselves, which gives them power and confidence to succeed and feel better. When you give people titles you could have the ability to make people feel better. You can also give yourself a title which could make you feel more powerful like a trained fighter would.
