What Is The Process Of Business and Marketing Success? PT3
Brian Zimmerman 01-04-2010
Learning Key Skills Part 3
So now you’re asking yourself how can you combine the friendship building process into your business. You understand getting the attention, connecting, commitment, and taking action. So what needs to be done to incoporate this into your marketing so your prospective clients feel really good about doing business with you automatically?
By following this friendship building process with your business your customers will begin to feel like you’re their friend rather than just another number you do business with. They begin to take on the mindset that you’re giving all your attention to them.
I personally feel that people would rather deal with a human than a business. The friendship process allows that feeling to take place inside your customer.
So moving forward…
You are probably wondering what you can do to start the implementation process, right? Well before we move into that my little marketing ninja you first must understand one other thing that will really assist you in this process.
Ready? Say Ready: )
I suggest you learn two more valuable skills people must never – and I mean must NEVER – do.I’ll provide you the second skill first.
2nd Skill I Suggest You Master.
You’ll want to learn how to think like a prospect. Before you begin any marketing campaign you’ll want to be able to lean back, close your eyes, and envision your prospect. You’ll want to feel and experience what your customer might be going through in the buying process with your product or service. You’ll want to imagine what your customer is thinking. What are the things that could be running through their head in the buying process?
And the 1st Skill
First you’ll want the ability to put aside all your own bias. You must get out of your own ways in order for this process to work because it has nothing to do with you. It’s all about your customer. Many times we become caught in our own thinking. You Can’t! You must get into your prospects head.
Alright! That wasn’t so bad was it?
I just recently started doing this myself. It’s tough because it’s so easy to judge and think you know all the answers. It’s also difficult because so many people think they understand marketing, but they don’t. But in my experience I think people do : )
You know what I’m talking about. You’ll be watching TV with friends or talking over the water cooler and you’ll hear your friends talking about how great an ad was or how bad one was. Or you’ll watch people with no marketing skills judge an advertisement. In reality they have no idea what is really going on behind the psychology of advertising. I also feel most advertising companies don’t know either.
Wow! There was Brian off in never-never land with another great tangent for you. Gosh, I’m really great at doing that. I write about crazy weird kind of off subject stuff all the time. It’s all good! It keeps your mind limber!
I will touch base on the second part of this in PT 3 and then I’ll give you implementation
