Pulling MySelf Upi From My Boot Straps

 

If you’ve never had a chance to read my story I recommend you do. I ask you to read it because I’m thinking their might be some words of wisdom that could greatly assist you in your quest for greatness. I’ll never forget a year ago during this time I didn’t really have a place to live. My business had went south and I was thousands in debt. I was down but not out. My friends and family were all really concerned with me and scared for me because they didn’t know what I was gonna do with my life. I had people really close to me telling me I needed to get a job and that I would never make it as an entrepenuar.

 

I admit I was down in that time in my life, but I knew I had to much of a drive inside of me to just stop. So I did what ever great enterprenuer would do. I’m talking about the greats. People that lived and went thorugh the worst times, yet they figured out ways to prevail and succeed. People like Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, PT Burnum, Thomas Edision, Tom Hanks, and many more, these people went through the lowest of lows in their life in orde3r to reap the rewards they have now.

 

Although I was down and out, it was time for the start of the next great BRIAN ZIMMERMAN, to pull through tough times and come out on top.

 

So I did what any of the greats would do, I started to rebuild another business. I didn’t allow anything to get in my way. I didn’t allow money or current circumstance to influence what I really wanted in life. I was lacking money so I took to the street, my sister was paying my cell bill, so I had a phone,  my buddies mom had a phone book, and I still had a computer. So in my mind I had a full business.

 

I started dialing and calling every business in the phone book. I was selling online marketing that I knew I could do for them. I literally dialed through the whole phone book once. Everybody told me no, in fact, I was told NO more than once my the same business. (I didn’t realize the same business had different ad and business names in the phone book.) If you could imagine how many NO’S I got dialing through a 7” phone book.

The doubt started setting in my head, yet I was relentless in my pursuit. I decided to dial through the phone book once again. Only this time I lead with a different approach, I actually started offering things for free, and it started to work. I was on to something! By leading with really valuable thing for free, I was able to start building relathionships with business owners. The next thing you know they started hiring me to do work for their businesses.

 

I continued my pursuit over the next several months, and I got enough clients to not only be able to get my own place again but I was able to live a decent life with out having to work for anybody else.

I had pulled myself up from my boot straps and with little resources.

I’m only telling you this because I ask you… Maybe there is something in your life you could be doing to start creating some sort of greatness. Maybe your allowing your current circumstances to run your life and control you.

 

Maybe your making excuses.

 

I’m not saying I’m making millions (YET) all I’m saying is anything is possible.

I don’t know.

 

I feel that if you allow your current circumstances to run and control your life. You’ll contine to bring your current into the future. I suggest to dig deep if your in tough times and get creative and have fun.  If your doing well, I ask if there is something you can be doing to do even better. I feel that life is stepping stones and it’s always about continuing to grow and learn.
