Over the past couple weeks, I’ve talked about the approach one must have when getting ready to market anything. Although it’s pretty basic, most small business owners never consider it, yet they wonder why their marketing efforts fail. I feel that proper execution of these methods and the mindset provided in Parts 1 and part 2 will greatly increase your chances of success.

Let’s talk about the final installment of this series.

When establishing a relationship either with a person or a client, I’d suggest you consider these three elements inside your marketing.

Relate – Translate – Educate - In this order

Whether you’re using the phone, Internet, or print marketing, you’ll start to notice by the results of your conversions that this formula is a true winner if done properly. [click to continue…]

So now you’re asking yourself how can you combine the friendship building process into your business? You understand getting the attention, connecting, commitment, and taking action. So what needs to be done to incorporate this into your marketing so your prospective clients automatically feel good about doing business with you?

By following this friendship building process with your business, your customers will begin to feel like you’re their friend rather than just another number you do business with. They begin to take on the mindset that you’re giving all your attention to them.

I personally feel that people would rather deal with a human than a business. The friendship process allows that feeling to take place inside your customer.

Yesterday I wrote about how businesses are having to reinvent themselves and how businesses are now doing things differently when it comes to finding new clients and prospects. I touched on a couple of things and I gave a few examples of big business that understands the concept of becoming more personal within their business and relating with their clients.

Today we will start to dig into the concept a little further. We’ll discuss a simple process that, if used inside your business, will lead you to more clients. It works whether you’re doing crafts, own a restaurant or a construction company. It doesn’t matter.

I think it’s silly that people have a stigma against salesmen and marketing. I’ll listen to people talk at times, and I’ll listen to them talk about people in sales. I’ll hear them talk down to them like they’re some lower level piece of scum. It’s so silly. I’m sure you’ve heard the same thing before. I’ve also heard people talk down to people who are involved in marketing. [click to continue…]

I’m my own worst enemy.

There comes a time about once a month or two that I feel like just quitting and that I feel my efforts and hard work are not paying off and aren’t going to happen. I wake up pretty much every morning at 4 am so I can write and add hours to my day, which gives me more time to create and achieve. When I do this kind of routine for days and I don’t see results I start to question what I’m doing.

There comes a time from my studies of successful people that everyone feels like what they’re doing will not work or they feel like giving up and quitting. I can honestly tell you that I feel like this at least every month. It’s important to be able to get through these kind of times over and over if you’ll ever get to what you desire. Over the past several years, I’ve been building businesses, learning myself, and learning about others. Although I’ve had my ups and downs with all three, I do notice as I mature and get older I do get better. I think life’s about growing and learning. It’s almost as if humans are constantly in a big learning game – as in life is SCHOOL. Everyday we have lessons we either learn from or we don’t.

One lesson that I feel can greatly assist in your life because I know it’s done wonders for me is something I learned from my mentor Eben Pagan. Eben talks about what’s called theGREYZONE. The grey zone is when we are doing a task and our minds are thinking and doing completely something different. It’s basically mutli tasking and not being present with the current object at hand.
